Our Story

What began as a small gathering of four faithful believers has grown into a thriving church community. In 2003, Pastor Elmer Franks recognized the potential in the Texas Hill Country area . Through consistent commitment to missions giving—dedicating 20% to global outreach—the church experienced significant financial growth, developing from modest beginnings to a $400,000 budget. Under Pastor Dick Sisk's leadership, the congregation successfully raised $806,000 for a debt-free building expansion through dedicated prayer and generous giving, demonstrating God's faithfulness to His people.

Tarpley Baptist Church launched its first international mission trip to Belize in June 2025. We are also developing discipleship groups to help Christians understand that baptism is just the beginning of their faith journey. Our goal is to continue equipping people to thrive in their walk with God and grow as faithful disciples.
